A UCLA graduate who immigrated from Guatemala, Rosa was a teacher for 25 years, who taught special education and is a former GATE coordinator. Now a Special Education Advocate, she bridges the gap between pedagogy and federal mandates. Leveraging personal experience as a "Linguistic Sprinter," Rosa addresses identifying and protecting the rights of twice-exceptional (2e) and English Learner gifted students.
